30 children from across Year 6 & Year 5 visited JCA Condover Hall for a residential.
Our activities were aerial trek, abseiling, climbing wall, fencing, archery tag, orienteering, campfire and mini-Olympics. Over the three days, the children showed resilience, determination and self-belief to help them overcome the challenges that they faced. This may have included: getting up earlier than usual; trying different food at mealtimes; sharing rooms with new people or learning to abseil down a 30ft tower.
Throughout the residential, their behaviour was excellent as was their participation in all the activities. It was especially rewarding to see the children supporting and comforting each other in whatever they did.
We are so proud of the children. Each child has brilliant skills to help them in school and in life. It is so important that they continue to challenge themselves and let their confidence flourish.
